This lovely pattern allows the knitter to create a sweet little moss stitch panel coat for little boy or girl with matching beret (no finished size given for beret). The buttons on the coat and top of the beret are button moulds covered in circles of double crochet, but you can of course use shop bought buttons of your own choice if desired. Both items were constructed in a 3-ply yarn which is sadly now discontinued, so try a modern 3-ply in it's place, but do work your tension square to see if a change of needles is needed to obtain the tension stipulated in the pattern. A super pattern in every way.
