Stunning Majolica Oyster Plate – Hand Painted.

Six, shell shaped wells, with alternating colours of turquoise and pink separated with turquoise sprigs of seaweed and sitting on a brown textured background.  The centre condiment well is cobalt blue and the plate is trimmed with a soft yellow band.

The underside is mottled in browns and is unmarked

Condition is very good considering the age of the item.  There are no chips or cracks. Slight crazing, mostly on the turquoise wells.  Stilt marks on the underside.  Natural variations that you would expect on a hand-made work
