DESCRIPTION

This work provides important original sources and contemporary accounts of the Treaties of Peace of Nijmegen (Négotiations de Nimegue or Négotiations de la Paix de Nimègue; Friede von Nimwegen).

These series of treaties, signed in the Dutch city of Nijmegen between August 1678 and December 1679, ended various interconnected wars among France, the Dutch Republic, Spain, Brandenburg, Sweden, Denmark, the Prince-Bishopric of Münster, and the Holy Roman Empire.

CONDITION

In a full vellum binding with title inked on the spine. Externally, sound with marks to boards. Internally, firmly bound. pages are remarkably bright and clean for their age with the few handling marks or small spots confined to the endpapers. Front pastedown has a faded and partially removed ink inscription.
