The DeWALT 5140118-80 is a Graphoil Reinforced Wire Mesh Valve to Head Gasket for many Craftsman, DeWALT, DeVilbiss, and Porter Cable Air Compressors.

The purpose of this gasket is to act as a high-pressure seal to prevent air leaks between the crankcase head and the Valve Plate assembly.

The original gaskets without the wire mesh tended to become over compressed and brittle over time and air leaks would develop reducing CFM delivery.

• Torque the head bolts in a standard staggered pattern 25, 30, 32.5 foot pounds Max as a final setting.
• Run the air compressor for 10 minutes without pressure building in the tank.
• Let the pump cool to ambient temperature and check torque one last time at 32.5 foot pounds.
