Description:  Fayette County, located in the state of Ohio, was formed on March 1, 1810 from portions of Highland County and Ross County.  It was named after Marie-Joseph Motier, Marquis de La Fayette, a French general who played an important role in the French Revolution.  

The entire community (and beyond) cooperated in compiling information for Fayette County, Ohio: A Pictorial History.  Ninety-eight people contributed over four hundred pictures for consideration.  These combined with the nearly two thousand photos from the archives of the Fayette County Museum and information supplied from countless interested county residents all contributed to this book.    

Condition:  This unique hardcover book is in new, gift quality condition.
