This listing is the pinned metal 3000 flash for the boot of an Austin Healey. It is 7 inches long or 175mm

PINNED units are not supplied to me with the fixing clips (?), however I do include these clips for YOU.

Retention clips come in many sizes and two basic types .. a spire clip and a hatted dome-shape (sort of like a brimless early-capotain hat) .  90% are spire-clips though.  Spire clips are the fiendish biting clips that push on, but are damn near impossible to get off.  Retention clips are supposed to actually address two sub-areas  (a) wiggle and (b) retention.    You may also wish to consider using 2 silicon blobs on the pins on the inside of the fender.

Silicon has 3 benefits. (1)  (a) retention... the spire-clips are over-kill and fiendish to remove. The silicon holds it well enough.  (2 ) (b)  wiggle is stopped with silicon....  silicon actually HOLDS it to the body from behind by ADHESION from the pin to the panel... whereas the clips only stop wiggle by pressing against the body with pressure... not easy to achieve total wiggle-free-ness (is that a word?). Clean the inside of the panel though and use a neutral-cure silicon... the copper-silicones are sticky and better.

Finally (3)  it stops body damage if some cretin tries to nick the badge... better to lose the badge I reckon... I have had serious body damage done by morons trying remove badges retained with those spring-steel biter-clips.  I only use silicon now in new fitments.

SELF-ADHESIVE units require the surface to be cleaned and I would finish the wipe (after all else) with an alcohol-wipe (meths ok).

Overseas postage only.  Overseas postage produces some strange results in this area.  The reason is that if an item is under 50g it is cheaper than an item over 50g by quite a lot... therefore we have odd effects like the 3000 flash being $20+  post, but the 100 flash being half that.  Many items also have private insurance added into the stamp cost.  The amount shown may be fixed... or it may be variable... again for the reason above.  Also be aware this is POST OFFICE and unless you pay $49 for UPS Couriers (Australia has the highest freight costs on the planet), it is not trackable.  UPS is also one week, but this is NOT.

Be aware POST OFFICE is 3 to 6 weeks.   By buying, you agree to this time frame... and you agree to be patient (the record is a Sri Lankan complaining in 2 days!!!! mind you, even this idiocy was dwarfed by a "local" Queensland woman 4,000 km from me who complained 6 HOURS after she bought the item that it had not arrived... now THAT is stupidity on a cosmic scale....)

To look for items in my shop, it is easiest to look in the yellow box to your lower left of "categories".   Select the category of interest and all items in that category will appear.  It is much easier than keywords.

For example "BRAKE"   or   "TRAFFICATOR whole"   or "LIGHTS"   or   "AXLES"   or   "COOLING"  etc etc

Effective 1 july 2017 , is an across-the-board increase of 2% at retail sales-level which will help me pay for the new "netflix" tax dreamed up by the aust govt loafers, no doubt to pay for their latest perks, fripperies and general extravagance. .. This tax at retail-sales-commission comes directly out of the much smaller profit margin Ebay stores make. Be aware YOU are paying yet another new sly tax.
