This Vintage Wakmann is a dual chronograph depth-rated diver containing a Valjioux 7734 movement. Circa 1970. Estate sale find. This is a rare model in this configuration/appearance. Nice big diver chrono. 17 jewels. Manual winding.
The dial has splashes of pink and red color that make this a stunning piece. Diver’s bidirectional bezel rotates smoothly. Watch and chronograph (flyback, etc) both work. While the watch is depth rated to 20 ATU, submerging is not advised given it is a vintage piece.
Case height is 44mm.
Width - 42mm without crown. With crown - 45.5mm
Lug width - 22mm
Date turns over at 6:00 instead of 24:00
so that quirk will need to be fixed. Service history is unknown. For optimal performance and appearance a service and cleaning is recommended. Watch is in overall very good condition for its age with minor scratches on crystal and case. Comes on vintage stretch bracelet.
