Gordon Banks, OBE is the former Stoke City and England goalkeeper who made 628 appearances during a 15-year career in the Football League and won 73 caps for his country.
The IFFHS named Gordon as the second best goalkeeper of the 20th century – after Lev Yashin - but my personal bias disputes that :)
Beginning his career in the early 1950s, Gordon went on to play for Chesterfield, Leicester City (establishing himself as England's #1 goalkeeper) and Stoke City.
Gordon played in four cup finals, the league cup final - AND - HE PLAYED IN EVERY GAME OF ENGLAND'S VICTORIOUS 1966 WORLD CUP CAMPAIGN!
The "greatest save ever made" is attributed to Gordon when he prevented a Pele goal in the 1970 World Cup.
HERE IS A WONDERFUL, PHOTO FROM GORDON OF THAT VERY SAVE AND IT HAS BEEN PERSONALLY SIGNED BY THE MAN HIMSELF.
The photo is in pristine condition.
The photo is 6-inches by 4-inches.
Gordon signed in black sharpie.
Gordon's signature is permanent.
Gordon's signature is crystal clear, perfectly legible and completely free from any stains, smears, smudges or bleeding.
Absolutely superb item from one of the all-time soccer greats :)
As always - no nonsense - I GUARANTEE THE AUTHENTICITY OF THIS AND EVERY SIGNATURE IN MY COLLECTION FOR LIFE or your money back and I put that in writing too
