Welcome to Antiques & Moore!

This listing is for a lovely antique .830 Norway Silver tea caddy spoon in the "Viking Rose" pattern.

This is a nice Mid-Century design with beautiful pierced decorated handle.

Measures 5 3/4" long with the bowl being 2" wide. Weighs 35 grams.

This lovely spoon is in excellent Estate condition with no noted damage or flaws.

Marked on reverse with maker's stamp for Thorwaid Marthinsen of Tonsberg, Norway, "830S" and "NM". The .830S was the silver standard for Sterling Silver in Norway until 1920 when they changed to the .925 Sterling standard. The "NM" is for the design patent or copyright mark.

Silver marked .830S  indicates 830 parts per 1000 (similar to US coin silver).
