Some of the most important assessments and adjustments you can make for you table saw are to check blade and arbor runout, align the blade to the miter slot, set the fence parallel to the blade and set the blade 90 degrees to the miter gauge. You will not believe how well your saw will cut when the above adjustments are performed accurately. It can also be used to test for router and drill press run out and to set jointer knives.
