It is made of twilled rattan fiber and dyed with natural dyes made from the Tarum and Rattan fruit. It is a square to round basket with a strong repeated geometric design utilizing black red and the natural color of the rattan around the circumference of the basket. The inside of this particular basket is thicker (for strength) plain rattan. It has a well detailed lip with reinforced edge secured with nice even loops, finely executed. It has two loops on the one side of the basket to hang or carry the basket. This basket has a very traditional pattern; bamboo shoot amongst rattan vine or pucuk rebung, as a bold central repeating pattern with a strong geometric border at the top and a series of borders at the bottom finishing with a pattern of black and red checkers.
