The Masimo RAS-45 is a disposable, non-invasive adhesive acoustic sensor used with Masimo rainbow Acoustic Monitoring (RAM) technology to continuously measure and display a patient's RRa® (Acoustic Respiration Rate).
How It Works
• Mechanism: It contains a piezoelectric sensor element that listens to the acoustic vibrations and sounds associated with airflow in the upper airway (near the trachea or chest). • Signal Processing: It pairs with Masimo SET® and rainbow® technology boards (such as on the Masimo Root or Rad-97 platforms) to separate the respiratory signal and display both a continuous numerical respiration rate and a real-time acoustic respiration waveform.
