Taylor 2024 NAMM Show Model - Great Value Used Guitar!!
Taylor has become a manufacturer with a large global market share. Taylor is a top brand boasting a wide range of models, from those pursuing the highest level of craftsmanship and playability to those in the beginner price range.
This model is a show model unveiled at the 2024 NAMM Show. The wood used is top-grade bigleaf maple for the back and sides, and Sitka spruce for the top. This model, with Taylor's original and classic Grand Auditorium Cutaway shape, has an easy-to-hold body shape while offering a well-balanced sound with good volume, powerful lows, and crisp highs. Combined with the ultra-thin finish, it produces a dynamic yet clear and rich acoustic sound.
The bracing uses Taylor's now standard V-bracing. This not only improves sustain and provides a clear sound, but also ensures sufficient strength and rigidity in the bridge area. The beautifully tuned sound can be enjoyed even with strumming, but it truly shines in arpeggios and solo playing. A distinctive feature is the black graphite used for the nut, but other external specifications are the same as previous models. The woody, elegant look, including the abalone inlays on the fretboard, the purfling on the body, and the armrest, gives it the refined appearance befitting a top-of-the-line model.
The neck is constructed from hard rock maple with an ebony fretboard. Taylor's signature soft V-grip at the lower frets and a thinner grip at the higher frets allow for smooth fingering.
The pickup system is the ES2 system, designed and manufactured by Taylor. It's meticulously designed to bring out the best of Taylor guitars, and its incredibly natural sound has been proven by numerous musicians on stage and in recordings. Furthermore, while it features simple volume, treble, and bass controls, the treble and bass controls allow for boosting or cutting, resulting in a very wide range of effective adjustments.
The coloring is a purple sunburst finish on the sides and back, not found on regular models, and combined with the figured wood, it truly has the feel of a show model.
