GibsonĀ 1967 J-45 Limited Edition Model with hard case 2015 Acoustic Guitar

Description

Another coveted flat-top guitar: the working horse, the Gibson "J-45."

Introduced in 1942, the "J-45" has undergone several minor changes since then, but remains a representative jumbo model with a round shoulder body, indispensable to the top scene.

Among them, the specific specifications of the 1967 model remain immensely popular, an iconic and highly sought-after instrument that significantly fueled the folk boom.

This instrument is a 2015 used "1967 J-45" model, a limited edition of 100 units produced through a collaboration between Miki Gakki and Kurosawa Gakki.

This is a reproduction model that fully recreates iconic elements, such as the 14-degree headstock angle (which was not available at the Montana factory at the time), the distinctive narrow neck, and the sunburst color.

Spruce top, mahogany sides and back, mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard and upper belly bridge, adjustable saddle, scalloped X-bracing, Kluson single-line tuners, pointed-chick pickguard, double-ring rosette, 39mm nut width narrow neck, 14-degree headstock angle, VOS tobacco sunburst finish.

This guitar boasts a crisp, punchy strumming sound characteristic of an adjustable saddle, excellent chord cohesion thanks to its narrow neck, and outstanding attack for aggressive playing styles. The neck grip, similar to an electric guitar, expands playing possibilities, allowing for tighter timing in techniques like cutting.

This particular guitar has a minor dent near the treble string on the headstock and a few very fine scratches, but no significant damage, maintaining a good overall impression. The neck condition is excellent, with a smooth and easy-to-play action. This limited edition model not only boasts a desirable look but also delivers a high-quality reproduction of its sound.

14-degree headstock, narrow neck, upper belly bridge. The "1967 J45" is a limited-edition model that perfectly captures these iconic specifications. Used, manufactured in 2015.
