Description:
Up for sale is a beautiful piece of American architectural salvage—an authentic, antique United States Post Office box door made by The Keyless Lock Co. This iconic door features an intricate, crisp Greek key pattern border casting along the outer frame, framing the bold "U O S" federal insignia centered right above the lower viewing window.
The back of the door mechanism retains its original stamped iron internal lock casing, clearly reading: “THE KEYLESS LOCK CO. INDIANAPOLIS, IND. PAT. APPLIED FOR.” The front single-dial pointer still rotates smoothly against the embossed number ring. This heavy-duty metal piece is highly sought after by repurposing craftsmen for building custom wooden piggy banks, shadow boxes, or displaying as industrial office decor.
