A really beautiful pair of Vintage 1986 bespoke, made to measure William Morris 'Compton' Curtains in wonderful used condition. These can span a pole/track up to 280cm

This design is still available on the Morris and Co website @ £116 per metre and a pair this size made by Sanderson/Morris & Co would be over £2k .
I think the colourway is either the Terracotta/Multi Product ref DJA196201 or Faded Terracotta/Multi DMC196204
Fully lined in 100% cotton.

Photos are good by eye and colour comparisons given. The background colour looks almost black from a distance
but it is a very dark green. Close to F&B Studio Green (or Beverley in tone but darker).  If you would like a photo against a particular colour just let me know.

These are in great condition for year and ready to hang. If you want them completely fresh and pristine they could be dry cleaned as a bit 'dusty'. I am hesitant to launder them due to the age of the lining.
No visible fading or any marks so a very rare find.
The linings show some signs of age. A bit of 'foxing' and discolouration but they are sound.
I think they were taken down a bit at one stage as the hem is narrow and both lining and hem have been re-stitched. It does mean that no additional length can be gained on this pair by lowering the hem.

The dimensions above are for EACH curtain in the pair. Below are the measurements in inches and in centimetres.
Please note that these are pinch pleated so are fixed width. They can be used on a narrower span but not made wider. The hooks give flexibilty to the height. The full length is listed but they could be made shorter by placing the hooks lower down if needed.

Measurements below give the width along the hem and the fixed top.

Width: 146 inches (370cm) each ungathered and 83 inches (212cm) each at the pleated top.
So these will span a maximum of 116inches (300cm) as the pair - a bit of overlap is recommended
Drop : 83 inches (212cm) from the very top to the hem.

I try to measure accurately but sometimes room for minor error so let me know if more precision needed.

Please take a good look at the photos and description and measurements and ask any questions you may have prior to purchase.

I try to ensure the photos show accurate colour but also please see colour comparisons given to check as this can be a useful tool.
