Alexandre Charles Germain (1809-1887) est un historien français, spécialiste du Languedoc. Élève de Michelet à l'École normale, il devient professeur d’histoire au collège de Nîmes, puis occupe la chaire d'histoire à la Faculté des Lettres de Montpellier, dont il est le doyen de 1861 à 1878. Il est membre de l’Académie des inscriptions et belles-lettres en 1876, membre de l'Institut.

Alexandre Charles Germain (1809-1887) was a French historian, specialist of the Languedoc. A student of Michelet at the École Normale, he became professor of history at the Collège de Nîmes, then occupied the chair of history at the Faculté des Lettres in Montpellier, of which he was dean from 1861 to 1878. He was a member of the Académie des inscriptions et belles-lettres in 1876, a member of the Institut.
