TOPP TIER CARDS AND BREAKS

Best known for the rookie redemptions, 2026-27 Upper Deck Artifacts Hockey has plenty for NHL collectors to check out, including debut hits, a new crop of young talent and the latest installment of the Aurum UD Bounty program.

While the Hobby box hits decreased to two cards, which can be autographs, relics or tech inserts, every box should also contain one Aurum insert.

2026-27 Upper Deck Artifacts Hockey Checklist Rundown

With the 2026-27 Upper Deck Artifacts Hockey checklist, the product is as much about the present as it is the future. This is due to the Rookie Redemption cards announced later in the season, which allow UD to catch up on the latest rookie debuts.

Base & Parallel Details

Current and former players headline the base set in 2026-27 Upper Deck Artifacts Hockey, including Base (#1-100; 3 per pack), Stars (#101-150; /699), Greats (#151-170; /699) and Rookies (#171-200; /999).

The Hobby parallels are mostly the same as last year, with Orange (/149) replacing Lime Green (/125) and Amber (/15) replacing Rose Gold (/15).

Blasters have exclusive Aqua Blue (2 per box) and Jade Green (/100) editions.

There are also short-printed Leather, Wood and Plexi variations.

In addition, the 2026-27 Upper Deck Artifacts Hockey base set features various relics and autographs. Look for numbered Material (/399 or less), Material Auto (#'d) and Auto (/5) editions of key names from the lineup.

Rookie Redemption Details

The aforementioned Rookie Redemption cards build on the base set numbering in 2026-27 Upper Deck Artifacts Hockey, going from #201 to #240.

These cards are essentially IOUs for a mystery rookie player, but some cards do confirm the team in question. UD normally reveals the final player selection during the second half of the season.

These have fewer parallels than the base set.

Base Rookie Redemptions Parallels List

The Rookie Auto Variation Redemptions cards are broken down into Tier 1 (I-VI; 1:1,500 packs), Tier 2 (VII-XII; 1:600 packs) and Tier 3 (XII-XVIII; 1:300 packs) groupings.

There are also Rookie Relic Redemptions (I-VI) and Rookie Auto Relic Redemptions (I-VI), with dual swatches.

Insert Details

These rookie redemptions are combined with the acetate inserts to average one per box.

Possible acetate cards include Antiquity (1:144 packs), Clear Cut Rookies (1:48 packs) and 2025-26 Clear Cut Rookie Updates (1:29 packs).

UD Bounty Details

The final insert in 2026-27 Upper Deck Artifacts Hockey is the Aurum series. Now averaging one per box, the Aurum set is again part of the UD Bounty program that awards exclusive cards for completing collecting goals.

However, Upper Deck has upped the ante to an 84-card set, when prior years were 48 cards.

Otherwise, the same basic rules apply, whereby collectors must submit every card on the UD Bounty website using the card's scratch-off code.

All those who finish the task will earn cards #85 and #86. If you are among the first 25 to do so, more prizes await.

Autograph & Relic Details

Of course, various hits appear in the 2026-27 Upper Deck Artifacts Hockey checklist, as well.

Check out debuting relics in Cold Hard Facts (/25), displaying a jumbo patch. These also have a Premium version, numbered to 15 copies.

Heavyweight Tickets (/10) and Shutout Stubs (/10) both incorporate pieces of game tickets.

New autograph options include Classic Franchises Signatures (#'d).

Still going, 2026-27 Upper Deck Artifacts Hockey sees the return of Arena Artifacts, dedicated to the Capitals? Alex Ovechkin. These "GR8 Edition" cards contain arena seat relics and are limited to 75 copies.

Similarly, Benchmarks offers seat relics, as well. In this case, it's a piece from the Rangers' home bench, with an added signature.

Many will recognize the brand staple Auto Facts (1:38 packs).

NHL Remnants (1:150 packs) is another familiar sight, adding Premium parallels limited to 25 copies.

Artifacts NHL continues with Top Tier Rookie Signatures (1:1,000 packs) plus 2025-26 Updates (1:2,000 packs).
