Plant Profile & Care Guide
Origin: Native to South America, particularly Brazil, this tropical beauty thrives in warm, temperate climates.
Light Requirements: Prefers bright, indirect sunlight for optimal leaf coloration and blooming. A spot near an east- or west-facing window is ideal, though it can tolerate lower light levels indoors.
Watering: Allow the top couple of inches of soil to dry out completely between waterings. Water thoroughly, but ensure the pot drains well to prevent root rot.
Note: Oxalis naturally goes through dormant periods where it may die back briefly before re-sprouting. Please allow the plant to go through its dormancy without disturbing it and it will grow back lushly, fuller and healthy.
Humidity: Thrives in standard household humidity levels, making it exceptionally easy to care for as a houseplant.
Indoor & Outdoor Conditions: Can be grown successfully indoors as a bright houseplant or kept outdoors on a shaded patio or balcony during warmer spring and summer months. Protect it from freezing temperatures, as it is sensitive to frost.
