Very smooth on cast and retrieve, the bail snaps back after each cast and the drag pull is very smooth with selective click anti-reverse. This is a high quality freshwater workhorse a very solid reel that will not let you down. Exceptional mechanical condition the gears and bearings show very little wear and everything works better than intended as only precision greases and oils made specifically to lubricate and protect within the marine environment are used when I service a reel, exceptionally nice exterior condition, the chrome and painted parts are exceptional retaining 99% of the original finish and luster, few if any scuffs from very light use. Complete service was done, the gears were cleaned and re-greased, bearings were oiled and the drag stack was cleaned and re-installed, re-assembled and ready to fish.
