Vintage pair of handmade “Dishwasher’s Aprons” from the 1975 San Jose Doll Convention, accompanied by their original explanatory card.
The card identifies the pieces as being from the Camellia City Doll Club of Sacramento, California and is signed in print “by Velva Gee, 1975.” A handwritten notation along the bottom reads “Dishwasher’s Apron – At San Jose Convention.”
These charming miniature aprons were designed as decorative covers for dishwasher detergent bottles, with the original card also suggesting they could be worn by a doll.
Includes two handmade fabric aprons: one with a colorful floral print and green rickrack trim, and one with a brown floral print and pink rickrack trim. Both retain their vintage handmade character.
A wonderful piece of 1970s California doll-club and convention history with excellent original provenance.
Vintage condition with age-related wear, discoloration and handling consistent with age. Please review all photos carefully for exact condition.
