Beauté Composée places beauty accessories and equestrian symbols within an interlaced composition inspired by Nick Doyle’s denim-collage practice. Lipsticks and powder brushes meet riding crops and stylized Hermès bits, bringing the house’s beauty and equestrian worlds onto the same silk surface. The woven illusion gives the carré a layered, almost tactile depth, while Gris Perle, Rouge and Mordoré balance a quiet grey ground with decisive red and bronze accents. The result is graphic and contemporary, changing character as the scarf is folded or tied.

Artist's Story:

Nick Doyle is an American artist born in California and based in Brooklyn. He is best known for hand-constructed wall works made from collaged, bleached and dyed denim. Using familiar objects and culturally charged materials, his practice examines American identity, consumer culture and nostalgia. In Beauté Composée, that textile-based collage language translates naturally to silk, where print and pattern recreate the impression of interwoven denim.
