Weather Station Desktop Instrument
Galileo Thermometer, Admiral Fitzroy Storm Glass, Clock & Hygrometer
Wood Frame with Mahogany Finish, Vintage Style
This comprehensive desktop weather station combines historical scientific instruments with modern timekeeping and humidity measurement. The piece features a traditional Galileo thermometer with floating glass spheres that rise and fall with temperature changes, alongside an Admiral Fitzroy storm glass designed to forecast weather based on crystal formation within the solution. These classic instruments are housed in a sturdy wooden frame with two integrated analog gauges.
• Galileo thermometer tube with floating liquid-filled glass temperature spheres
• Fitzroy storm glass with printed weather forecasting guide on the exterior
• Analog quartz clock and hygrometer inset with gold-tone metal bezels
• Solid wood frame with a rich mahogany finish and curved base
• Measures approximately 9 inches tall (ruler visible in photos)
Condition: Very good pre-owned condition. The wooden frame is stable with a glossy finish showing only minor surface dust and light handling marks. The glass tubes are clear and intact without chips or cracks. The thermometer spheres move freely and the storm glass contains the appropriate sediment. The clock and hygrometer are physically intact; battery status for the quartz clock is unknown.
