Up for sale is a fantastic, highly characterful matching set of three (3) vintage 1950s/1960s novelty hobo gnome / hillbilly troll dolls. These charming pieces were manufactured in Japan during the golden era of mid-century kitsch imports.Each figure features an incredibly expressive, molded rubber/vinyl face with rosy airbrushed cheeks, playful expressions, and detailed faux-fur beards. They are dressed in coordinated, rustic outfits featuring plaid flannel shirts, patched trousers, felt hats, and distinct rope tie belts.Because these were originally sold with temporary paper labels or hangtags, they are unmarked on their bodies, which is typical for Japanese novelty exports of this era. They display beautifully as a cohesive set!
