A wonderfully timeworn pair of vintage dolls with loads of old-fashioned character the kind that look as though they have stories to tell.

 

This lot includes two vintage dolls in their clothing as shown:

• Larger baby/toddler doll dressed in a pale yellow gown with decorative trim, bonnet, stockings and sweet yellow ribbon-tie knit booties

• Red-haired fashion/girl doll wearing a red, black, gray and cream plaid dress with black waist sash, white socks and black Mary Jane-style shoes.

 

These dolls are being offered together exactly as pictured.

 

CONDITION:

These are genuinely vintage dolls and show significant age-related wear. They are not mint and are best suited to a collector who appreciates dolls with visible history and patina.

 

The baby doll shows noticeable surface crazing/cracking, discoloration, scuffs, marks and wear to the face/head and body. There is visible deterioration around portions of the hairline/head area. Clothing and accessories show age-related discoloration, staining, fading and general wear.

 

The red-haired doll also shows age and use, including surface wear/marks, discoloration and wear to the limbs/body. Her hair is somewhat dry/frizzy and mussed with age. There appears to be separation/gapping at the neck area, along with other age-related wear. Clothing and shoes also show vintage wear.

Their imperfections are part of what makes them so wonderfully evocative two little survivors from another era, still dressed up after all these years.
