Up for auction is a pink Stromberg Carlson model 1543 "cut corners" desk telephone. This design dates from the early 1950s. It is in very nice condition. The plastic is only slightly faded, not yellowed, and therefore the telephone set displays very well. The dial turns freely (and sounds like an Automatic Electric dial, though I'm not sure it it is one.) The number card holder is loose. The handset cord is in excellent condition. (t has a longer than usual line cord with a modular converter plug end so that it may be plugged in and used today -- I did use in once in a while when I had a land line. I have not been able to do so for many years but I would imagine it still works, as these sets were known to be quite durable. A great addition to anyone's decor, or telephone collection.
PLEASE NOTE: dial telephones will not work on VOIP service without an adapter to convert the dial pulses to touch tone frequencies.
The telephone will be well packed to ensure safe delivery.
