Description

This is a genuine OEM Nissan Electro-Hydraulic Power Steering (EHPS) Pump and Motor Assembly removed from an operational donor vehicle. Engineered to strict factory automotive steering assist precision, safety, and hydraulic pressure standards, this electro-hydraulic unit features an efficient brushless electric drive motor, an integrated fluid reservoir tank, a precision-machined internal gear pump, and built-in electronic steering control module logic. Carrying OEM part number 49110-9NE0B (and direct Nissan factory supersessions within the 49110-9NE series), it serves as an ideal direct physical, mechanical, and electrical drop-in replacement. It directly resolves common 2017–2020 R52 Pathfinder steering issues, including heavy, stiff, or binding steering assist, complete loss of power steering at idle or parking speeds, internal motor circuit burnout, loud pump whining or groaning noises, fluid reservoir leaks, or instrument cluster warning lights accompanied by steering control module diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).

As an authentic factory-original Nissan component, this EHPS pump unit features the exact chassis bracket mounting isolator positions, high-pressure line flare seat threading, and sealed weather-pack electrical connectors engineered for a tight, vibration-damped, and leak-free installation. Opting for an original equipment Nissan pump guarantees proper hydraulic fluid flow rates, optimal rack-and-pinion assist pressure, and seamless communication with your vehicle’s CAN-bus network and Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) system—eliminating the erratic steering assist, communication drops, and premature seal blowouts common with low-grade aftermarket alternatives. Every mounting boss, fluid port fitting, reservoir casing, and electrical terminal pin on this assembly has been thoroughly cleaned, inspected, and verified structurally sound.

Vehicle Compatibility

Please verify your vehicle's model year, engine displacement (3.5L V6 Direct Injection), steering system type (Electro-Hydraulic), and the matching part number on your existing pump label before purchasing. This electric power steering pump assembly fits:

Application Warning: Designed specifically for refreshed 2017–2020 Nissan Pathfinder (R52) and Infiniti QX60 models equipped with the 3.5L direct-injected V6 engine and electro-hydraulic auxiliary pump. It will NOT fit pre-facelift 2013–2016 Pathfinder models (which use the port-injected VQ35DE and earlier part number series 49110-3JA0E), Pathfinder Hybrid models, nor redesigned 2022+ 5th Generation (R53) Pathfinder models.

Important Installation Information

Direct Mechanical Bolt-In & Hydraulic System Bleed Installation: Park the vehicle on a level surface, shift into Park, and switch off the ignition. Disconnect the negative battery terminal to protect high-current electronic circuits. Safely raise the front of the vehicle on jack stands and remove the front passenger-side wheel and inner fender splash shield to access the pump assembly mounted on the lower frame rail/apron. Drain the existing power steering fluid into a clean catch pan. Using a flare nut wrench, disconnect the high-pressure steel hydraulic output line and clamp off/disconnect the low-pressure fluid return hose. Unplug the high-current power harness connector and the multi-pin CAN-bus signal plug by depressing their primary locking tabs. Remove the retaining bracket bolts securing the unit to the chassis subframe and remove the pump. Mount this replacement OEM pump onto the bracket using rubber isolator bushings, reconnect the hydraulic lines with new O-rings/crush washers, torque all fittings to factory specifications, and click both wiring harness connectors firmly into place. Reinstall the splash shield and wheel, lower the vehicle, and reconnect the battery. Fill the reservoir with fresh, genuine Nissan E-PSF (Electric Power Steering Fluid) or approved equivalent. Perform a thorough manual air-bleed procedure by slowly turning the steering wheel lock-to-lock several times with the wheels off the ground to purge air bubbles and prevent pump cavitation before starting the engine.
