Vintage NutraSweet Brand Sweetener Tabletop Dispenser — Yellow Plastic — 1980s Advertising Piece

Up for sale is a vintage NutraSweet Brand Sweetener tabletop dispenser in bright yellow plastic with a clear acrylic cylinder reservoir. This is a far less common form than the familiar ribbed glass jars — this is the freestanding, countertop-style unit designed to sit on a restaurant or diner table and dispense individual sweetener packets one at a time.

The mechanism is simple and intact: pressing the dispensing port on the lower body advances the plunger rod to push a packet through the opening. The NutraSweet logo label with the iconic red swirl is present on the clear cylinder and remains legible. The base is weighted and stable, the acrylic tube is clear with minor surface wear consistent with age.

This style of dispenser dates to the 1980s — the era when NutraSweet (aspartame) was making its big commercial push into restaurants and diners across the country. These units were placed on tables as branded promotional pieces and are now a genuine slice of American food and advertising history.

Condition: Used, good vintage condition. Yellowing is original color, not age-related discoloration. Some light surface scratches and scuffs to the acrylic. Dispenser mechanism functional. No cracks or breaks.

A strong display piece for:

• NutraSweet / Equal / diet product collectors

• 1980s advertising and restaurant memorabilia

• Retro kitchen or diner décor
