Canary Yellow
|
| 5 stones4 Oval + 1 Cushion | 0.36 ctTotal Weight | VSClarity |
Five natural diamonds, 0.36 carats in total, around seven points each. Four are ovals in a bright, clean canary yellow — a pure lemon-gold with no brown or grey in it. The fifth is a cushion, and it is noticeably deeper and more amber than the other four. Four bright ovals plus one warm accent stone, rather than five matching pieces.
Oval is the shape that makes small stones look larger. The elongated outline spreads the face across more area than a round of the same weight, which matters a great deal at seven points. Four of them in one bright colour is enough to build a run, a line or a pair from.
Clarity is VS across the parcel, so inclusions need magnification and nothing reaches the naked eye. A clean canary is also harder to find in small natural goods than a warm yellow — most small yellow is modified by brown or grey, and these four are not.
Four bright canary ovals and one amber cushion. Small stones, clean colour, elongated shape.

Colour · Bright Canary Yellow · One Stone Deeper Amber
Four matching-shape ovals in one bright colour, plus a warm accent, supports both set work and single pieces.
Signet ring, single stoneOne oval flush-set into the face of a heavy gold signet, set east-west across the face or north-south for a classic look. A clean canary reads clearly against yellow metal instead of blending into it, which is where a pale or brown stone struggles. |
East-west solitaireOne oval set sideways across a fine band. Among the most asked-for minimal designs at the moment, and a small bright yellow suits it — low, horizontal, and quietly different from every round solitaire in the window. |
Oval stud earringsTwo of the four ovals as a pair. They share shape and colour family, which is what a pair needs, and seven points each makes a genuinely wearable everyday stud. |
Four-oval graduated bandAll four ovals set end to end or east-west across a single band. Same shape and size means the spacing works cleanly, and a run of bright yellow reads as deliberate rather than assembled. |
Yellow accent in a white settingA single canary oval set among white diamonds — in a halo, a cluster, or as the centre of a pavé band. Bright yellow gives contrast a warm brown cannot, and one small stone can carry a whole piece. |
Amber cushion as a counterpointUse the deeper cushion deliberately — as the centre of a piece flanked by two canary ovals, or set alone in a signet where its warmth suits the metal. It is the odd stone, so make it the feature rather than trying to hide it. |
On metal: yellow gold is the classic pairing and deepens the colour. Unlike warm browns, a clean canary also works genuinely well in white gold and platinum — cool metal throws the yellow forward and makes it read stronger, which is why most fancy yellow rings are set that way. The amber cushion is the opposite and prefers yellow or rose gold. Brushed and satin finishes suit small stones better than high polish.
Two Separate Guarantees
These are natural mined diamonds, not laboratory grown. Not CVD, not HPHT grown, not synthetic, not simulants. All five came out of the ground.
No treatment of any kind has been applied. Not irradiated, not HPHT colour treated, not coated, not painted, not laser drilled, not fracture filled, not heated, not enhanced in any other way. The colour in all five stones is their own.
Our guarantee on both points: if any stone in this parcel is shown by a recognised gemmological laboratory to be laboratory grown, or to have been treated in any way, return the complete parcel within 30 days of delivery for a full refund including your testing costs. We will honour that without argument.
Worth knowing, and it applies with particular force to a clean bright yellow: this is precisely the colour treated material imitates, because clean natural yellow commands a premium and irradiated or HPHT-processed yellow is cheap to produce. None of it can be separated from natural by eye. That is exactly why we state our position as a guarantee backed by a refund rather than as a line in a description. If it matters to you, hold us to it.

Full Disclosure
These are small stones. At seven points each they are melee scale, and considerably smaller in the hand than a close-up photograph suggests. Please look at the tweezer and box shots for a true sense of size before bidding — this is the single most common misunderstanding on small parcels.
This is a parcel of five stones and 0.36 carats is the total. Please do not read that as the weight of a single diamond.
One stone differs in shape and colour. Four are ovals in a bright clean yellow; the fifth is a cushion and is noticeably deeper and more amber. If you need five stones that read alike, this parcel is not that — judge the difference from the photographs, which show all five side by side.
"Canary yellow" is a trade description, not a laboratory grade. It is the term the trade uses for a bright clean yellow with no brown or grey modifier, and it describes the four ovals accurately — but no laboratory has assigned it, and it does not describe the amber cushion.
The colour and clarity assessments are our own, made in Bangkok under standard grading conditions, not laboratory grades. No cut, polish or symmetry grades are offered, and individual measurements are not published here. Every oval carries some degree of bow-tie across its centre — inherent to the shape, and far less noticeable at this size than on a large oval. If you need millimetre dimensions, ask and we will measure all five before you bid.
Every photograph and the video show the actual stones under natural light without colour correction. Yellow reads stronger under incandescent light and flatter under cool daylight. Study all the images and ask us for more if you want them.
