Your bid is for the ANNUAL REPORT OF THE DIRECTORS of the WORCESTER AND NASHUA Railroad Company to THE STOCKHOLDERS. JANUARY 1879. Printed by Chas. Hamilton, 311 Main Street in Worcester in 1879. Although the report was printed in January 1879, in preparation for the annual meeting on January 23rd of that year, the report covers the financial conditions and operating results for the year ending September 30th, 1878. This pamphlet measures 14.8 by 23.1 cm and contains 16 pages, plus the wraps designed to protect the string binding. The W&N RR began operating in 1848 between the 2nd largest city in Massachusetts and the largest city in southern New Hampshire. It was merged in 1883 with the Nashua & Rochester RR to form the Worcester, Nashua & Rochester RR. The WN&R was leased by the B&M RR in 1886 to form the Worcester, Nashua & Portland Division of the Boston & Maine. The WN&P was famed for its grades, curves and wrecks and that explains why all the is left today is a possible path through the woods, the Nashua River Rail Trail, and the busy CSX line between Worcester and Ayer, Mass. This document is in excellent condition but many years ago the front wrap must have been damaged or lost as I made a replacement to protect the string binding. I also put my name and address label on the title page inside. It is lightly scanned because of the string binding. Your satisfaction is guaranteed. Please see my other eBay auctions for more rare and scarce railroad paper. I provide personal service while trying to keep things simple. Please check my feedback and DSR's. Everything I sell is POSTPAID USA, so the winning bid is what you pay, plus eBay’s state tax if applicable, unless you want special services. I normally ship the first day after the auction ends IF eBay provides a packing slip. Thank you for reading. Alden Dreyer, 91 Reynolds Road, Shelburne MA 01370-9649. Copyright by AHD September 2026.
