Offered here is Sign Here, Please: The Story of an (Almost) Barefoot Petroleum Landman by Haynes W. Dugan (Exposition Press, 1974), a true first edition. Dugan was a landman for Texaco Inc., active in five states, and this memoir traces his family's history in the oil-leasing business back to the 1800s, filled with firsthand stories of leasemen and the early oil industry.

This copy is signed and personally inscribed by the author: "To Al Lamson, Who tells some of the best Cajun stories. Haynes W. Dugan."

As a bonus, this copy includes a period newspaper clipping laid in at page 40-41 (a "Good Morning" weather column dated January 3, 1967, Baton Rouge) — a nice piece of incidental ephemera from a previous owner.
