Offered for sale is a small blue and white tureen.

Dating from around 1840 and titled ' Arctic Scenery'.

The scenes depict a tall ship, people canoeing, and a range of wild animals, which I guess they came across during the entire journey.

The tureen measures approximately

21 cm wide (measured from handle to handle).

17.5 cm high ( this includes the tureen stand and measured to the top of the lid handle.

It is offered in very good condition, retaining its original base stand and lid.

There is what we believe to be a firing crack to one side of one handle (photographed) and a couple of tiny flea bite  nicks to the tureen base and  one to the inside of the lid.

Slight age related staining to the interior.
