Kiyoshi Kurosawa's "Cure" is one of the most important films in the history of Asian cinema. It was the movie that started the international J-horror and wider Asian cinema craze of the 2000s, followed by Kurosawa's own "Pulse", as well as "Ju-On The Grudge", "Ringu" (later remade as "The Ring"), "Dark Water", "One Missed Call" and, outside of the horror genre, "Oldboy". Aside from some scuffing on the case from being on a tightly packed shelf, I consider this blu-ray to be in Like New condition since it has only been played once and (despite the scuffing) has barely been touched beyond that, so the disc is flawless. The film's transfer looks pretty good, being from a 4K source. It also comes with one or two new special features, several older ones and a cool little booklet. I saw "Pulse" and "Sweet Home" (one of Kurosawa's earlier films) and loved them both, and so I went and bought this figuring it would be the same. It's a good movie, however, for some reason I didn't personally get into "Cure" nearly as much as I did the other two, and so I am now selling this as part of an estate sale that I have been left in charge of in order to help me buy my first car. I'm hoping that whoever buys this will enjoy it more than I did.
