A Jouef HO gauge 8282 French SNCF Class 140 C 231 2-8-0 steam locomotive and tender in green livery with the depot "Mantes" printed on the cab sides. 

The locomotive is generally in fair condition with good weighted body and very good tender featuring two 4-wheel bogies. The front 2-wheel truck is missing but is otherwise intact.

On the track, the motor runs and it takes power but it is very intermittent. All the pickups and connecting surfaces need cleaning and the main pic-up contact seems to be missing a spring to maintain contact with the axles. It has a light in the body, which works. 

Body parts, motor, wheels etc are all good and the loco would make a very good source of spares. Alternatively, it is repairable with some attention and a new front truck.

It is unboxed but will be well packed for protection in the post.
