He was known for his early work with Walt Disney, especially for having worked on the creation of Mickey Mouse and Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, among other characters.
• Flip the Frog is a cartoon character created by Ub Iwerks for MGM. Flip is widely considered to be the first MGM cartoon character. He starred in a self-titled series of theatrical shorts produced by Celebrity Pictures and produced by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. 38 of these shorts were produced in between the years of 1930 to 1933. He starred with many recurring characters, including his unnamed dog, Orace the mule, and his girlfriend.
