Rare Lisa Eisner “Rodeo Girl” Greybull Press cropped T-shirt, dating to Spring 2000 and worn by a waiter at the celebrated Rodeo Girl exhibition and party at Colette in Paris during Fashion Week.

The front reads “IF IT’S GOT TIRES OR TITS” and the back “IT’S GONNA GIVE YOU TROUBLE” with the printing “RODEO GIRL / SPRING 2000.” Original Greybull Press label at the neck.

Lisa Eisner is an American photographer, publisher and jewelry designer whose Rodeo Girl photographs were published by Greybull Press in 2000. The project was exhibited at the influential Paris boutique Colette during Paris Fashion Week, with Polo Ralph Lauren sponsoring the opening. The event was proclaimed “THE party of Fashion Week”.

Media coverage of the event specifically describes the waiters at the Colette party wearing Stetsons and this very T-shirt. In attendance were fashion insiders, celebs, and Miss Rodeo America 2000, Brandy DeJongh, who traveled to Paris to promote Eisner’s Rodeo Girl. The book was very well received and hugely influential- even inspiring Madonna’s rodeo queen look via celebrated stylist Arianne Phillips.

This shirt is an unusual surviving piece of early-2000s fashion, photography and publishing ephemera.

T shirt has a fitted cropped silhouette. It shows age and wear, including visible cracking and distress to the printed lettering. There is some fading throughout, and a few very small holes. Please see photographs.

Labeled size medium- best modern fit likely small. Shoulder to shoulder measures 15 inches, chest measures 34 inches, and shoulder to hem measures 19 inches.
