Première édition de cette traduction française, dûe à un jésuite anonyme ; elle parut peu de temps après la première traduction donnée en 1671 par le père Vatier.


C'est aussi la première édition illustrée : elle est ornée d'un portrait-frontispice et de 56 planches dans le texte gravées sur cuivre.

First edition of this French translation, by an anonymous Jesuit; it appeared shortly after the first translation published in 1671 by Father Vatier.


It is also the first illustrated edition: it features a frontispiece portrait and 56 copper-engraved plates within the text.
