MAXON OD808 [Made in Japan]

This pedal, manufactured for the international market, is identical in internal components to the Ibanez TS-808—a reissue of the legendary Tube Screamer—and is a reissue of the early OD808 (narrow case) model.

Its smooth, natural overdrive and sound as a booster that doesn’t compromise the amp’s character are truly reminiscent of the TS-808.

It’s safe to say it produces a sound nearly identical to that of the Tube Screamer.

It delivers the natural, mild distortion you get when cranking a tube amp to full volume, along with a thick low end and exceptional clarity.

It can also be used effectively as a booster to achieve a rich, full-bodied distortion while preserving the amp’s character.

Even when driven to the max, it directly conveys the player’s subtle picking nuances without losing any of them

.

Thanks to the highly visible LED, you can see at a glance whether the effect is on or off, even on a dark stage.

It also serves as a battery indicator.
