Vintage Tom Thomb / Tom Thumb Imported Briar Italian Estate Tobacco Pipe

Unusual small vintage Italian briar tobacco pipe stamped TOM THOMB on one side of the shank and IMPORTED BRIAR on the opposite side.

Tom Thumb pipes are documented among vintage imported pipe lines, and surviving examples can be found with the unusual TOM THOMB spelling.

Features a compact full-bent briar bowl with dark brown finish, black curved stem and wide silver-colored metal ferrule. Ferrule is stamped EP, consistent with an electroplated fitting.

Previously smoked and offered in its present as-found, uncleaned condition. Chamber has substantial carbon/cake buildup, particularly along one side. Rim and bowl show normal smoking wear, scratches and finish wear. Stem shows age/use wear and tooth marks. Metal band has tarnish, scratches and discoloration.

Pipe has not been professionally cleaned, sanitized, polished or restored. Please examine photographs closely for exact condition.
