A Little History: The EX500 belongs to an earlier generation of Quantum baitcasting reels. Surviving reel schematics document the EX500 in 1993 and again in 1995, placing this model firmly in Quantum’s 1990s lineup. Long-term owners still discussed EX500 reels decades later, which helps illustrate how established the model became among anglers. An unused example offers a particularly clean snapshot of Quantum’s pre-PT baitcasting era.
