Antique Chinese Famille Rose Porcelain Brush Pot / Bitong with Playing Children & Chickens

Authentic late 19th to early 20th century style Chinese scholar's brush pot. Cylindrical form with famille rose (fencai) enamels depicting two boys at play with a woven chicken basket/coop, hen, rooster and chicks in a garden with blue rockwork and lotus.

Measures 4 3/8" tall x 2 1/2" diameter. Weighs 9 oz unpacked. Thinly potted porcelain, light celadon glaze inside, brown wash to mouth rim, unglazed foot showing kiln grit and age soiling.

Base with iron-red 4-character seal mark reading Tongzhi Nian Zhi. Mark is likely apocryphal / honorific as was common - sold as late Qing style, not as guaranteed Imperial period.

Condition: No chips, cracks or restoration seen. Light enamel wear, pitting to interior, soiling to foot as photographed. Please see all 6 photos.
