These ornaments are quite unique in that they have a threaded metal screw-hole on the bottom! this means they were originally part of a musical or motorized animated display. Instead of just hanging from a tree branch, these specific Santas were designed to twist onto a threaded metal post sticking up from some sort of base, maybe a window display that rotated!
They stand beautifully upright on their own, making them perfect for a fireplace mantle, holiday tabletop vignette or retro display shelf. Or, the bottom threaded inserts allow you to easily screw them onto dowels or custom craft stands.
