ARVÉ GRADED COLLECTIBLES JAPAN is a Japan-based curator specializing in graded collectibles such as comics, manga, video games, cameras, and other long-term investment pieces.
Our base of operations is Hokkaido, Japan – one of the least humid regions in the country. This low-humidity environment greatly reduces the risk of mold, paper warping, and other humidity-related damage, making it ideal for preserving high-grade collectibles.
We have a proven track record of submitting coins and other collectibles to major grading companies and selling graded items worldwide, and now apply that expertise to manga and games.
Our mission is to reconstruct the value of collections and curate items for future collectible potential.
This listing is for Galaxy Express 999 Vol.1 (First Printing, 1979), professionally graded by CBCS with a final grade of 6.0.
Galaxy Express 999, created by legendary manga artist Leiji Matsumoto, is one of the most influential works in the history of Japanese science fiction. First-print editions from the 1970s seldom survive in collectible condition, making professionally authenticated copies exceptionally rare.
Although the Dust Jacket is graded 5.0, this is considered normal for books produced in the late 1970s. Genuine slabbed first prints of Galaxy Express 999 Vol.1 are rarely found outside Japan, making this volume a highly desirable anchor piece for collectors of classic manga history.
The item in the photos is the exact one you will receive. With retro franchises experiencing renewed cultural recognition, authenticated copies from this era have demonstrated stable long-term demand.
