Vintage Sewing Machine - Tiffany Gingerbread Decals
Early 20th Century, Victorian Style
This vintage Singer sewing machine exemplifies the ornate craftsmanship of the early 20th century, featuring the iconic "Tiffany" or "Gingerbread" decal set. The gold filigree motifs against the black finish represent the height of Victorian decorative influence on domestic machinery, turning a functional household tool into a piece of artistic history.
• Cast construction with original japanned black finish and intricate gold decals
• Features the Singer Manufacturing Co. trademark badge and scrollwork faceplate
• Manual hand-wheel operation with needle assembly intact
• Mechanical components visible on the underside show traditional period engineering
Condition: Fair vintage condition with cosmetic wear appropriate for age. The black finish and gold decals show significant thinning, surface abrasions, and loss, primarily on the base and arm. The hand-wheel turns and the needle moves freely. No further testing has been performed. Sold as the machine head only, as pictured.
