Both pieces are marked on the underside with the Lomonosov/LFZ factory mark and “MADE IN USSR.”
Condition:
Very nice vintage condition. No obvious chips or cracks visible in the photos. There is some age-related wear to the gold decoration, particularly along the rim/trim, consistent with vintage use. Please review all photos closely as they are part of the description.
A Little History:
The Lomonosov Porcelain Factory in St. Petersburg traces its history to 1744, when the Imperial Porcelain Manufactory was established during the reign of Empress Elizabeth. During the Soviet period, the factory was known as the Leningrad Lomonosov Porcelain Factory (LFZ) and became internationally recognized for fine porcelain decorated with distinctive Russian designs. Pieces bearing the “Made in USSR” mark are particularly appealing to collectors because they clearly identify the set with the Soviet era.
