An untitled atlas sheet map, published in Austria by the Militarischen Geografischen Institute in Vienna. Dated bottom right "Ausg. 1875."

The map shows the south coast of England, from St Leonards in the east, to Southampton and the Isle of Wight in the west. 

An unusual and scarce map, which has the distinction, surely, of being one of the last printed maps to call Brighton 'Brighthelmstone'. The name is shown in heavy type, with Brighton in brackets. In this way, the map is some 40 years out of date.

Railways are marked, and much is made of the hills, depicted by hatching.

A scarce map curiosity, dating from the days of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.

Size: 50.5cms x 44.5cms.

Condition: One or two stains in the sea area. Cut close to the outer border, with the odd 'nibble'. But generally in a very acceptable condition.
