Azam Jah (1907–1970) was the eldest son of the last Nizam of Hyderabad, Mir Osman Ali Khan. He held the title of Prince of Berar and was married to Princess Durru Shehvar, the daughter of the last Ottoman Caliph, Abdulmejid II.
The Nizam family was one of the wealthiest royal families in the world, ruling Hyderabad until its annexation by India in 1948. Azam Jah was expected to inherit the throne but did not due to political changes. His descendants continue to be associated with Hyderabad’s legacy.
