Original 1918 cardboard store display advertising Pompeian Day Cream / Vanishing Cream. This piece was made for counter or window display use and shows a large jar & woman applying face cream. The artwork, muted colors, and rounded silhouette reflect early 20th century beauty and pharmacy advertising, when skincare was promoted as part of everyday grooming rather than glamour.
Cardboard construction with original easel back; condition shows some edge & corner wear, surface loss, and creasing consistent with age and retail use.
Pompeian was an established American cosmetics brand by the early 1900s, best known for cold creams and complexion products. The company relied heavily on illustrated in-store displays and print advertising during the 1910s to build brand recognition among women at a time when modern skincare routines were just becoming mainstream.
