Antique German Handcrafted Reliquary Pectoral Crucifix

Beautiful early 20th-century Catholic reliquary pectoral crucifix cross, expertly handcrafted in Germany. This heavy devotional piece is made entirely of solid brass and is meticulously hand-inlaid with rich, dark ebony wood panels. The brass corpus (Jesus figure) features a beautiful, untouched antique patina and was originally finished with a gold plating/wash, giving it a distinct look from the main frame.

The base features a threaded brass screw pin. Once unscrewed, the frame smoothly pivots/slides sideways to reveal the hidden interior compartment.

• Interior Contents: Retains its original historic paper scroll label explicitly stating: "Placed on the Holy Sepulcr" along with the original dried holy plant fragments (resembling sacred flower petals) completely intact inside.
• Markings: Explicitly stamped "GERMANY" on the reverse side.
• Measurements: Approx. 3 1/4" tall (including the bottom screw pin) x 1 7/16" wide.
• Condition: Excellent antique condition with beautiful age-appropriate patina and minor tarnishing. The bottom brass screw threads tightly and the sliding mechanism functions perfectly.
