Provide the registration exactly as it should appear and check all letters and numbers carefully before submitting the order.

We need one original document from the Proof of Identity list and one original document from the Proof of Entitlement list below.

These documents are needed to confirm your name and address and to verify that you are entitled to use the registration number. We will contact you to request the required proof of identity and ownership/entitlement.

Proof of Identity – provide one of the following:

• Utility bill, Council Tax bill or rates bill dated within the last 6 months
• National identity card
• Bank or building society debit or credit card
• Police warrant card
• Armed forces identity card
• Driving licence
• Passport – this does not have to be a UK passport

Proof of Entitlement – provide one of the following:

• Vehicle registration certificate (V5C or V5CNI)
• New keeper supplement (V5C/2 or V5C/2NI)
• Certificate of entitlement to the registration number (V750 or V750NI)
• Retention document (V778)
• Vehicle tax or SORN renewal reminder (V11 or V11NI)
• Temporary registration certificate (V379 or V379NI)
• Number plate authorisation certificate (V948) carrying an official DVLA or DVSA stamp
• Electronic number plate authorisation certificate (eV948)
• Letter of authorisation from a fleet operator, including a lease or hire company, quoting the document reference number from the vehicle registration certificate
• If the vehicle is part of the new V5C on demand scheme, also known as V5C suppression, a PDF showing the vehicle details from the DVLA View Vehicle Record service
